The processor used in the first prototype is the PIC32MX250F128B (http://www.microchip.com/wwwproducts/Devices.aspx?dDocName=en557425).

The PCB will allow to easily replace the MCU by any other PIC32 available in PDIP packaging, following the guidelines of the 8Bit pinguino boards.
